What are the operating hours?

Monday to Friday: 5 AM – 3 PM. Sunday: all day. Saturday access may be available by arrangement — contact us. Your daily door PIN is valid from 5 AM to 3 PM on the day you check in.

What's the difference between a casual pack and monthly membership?

Casual packs (5, 20, or 50 visits) are pre-paid credits you use at your own pace — great if your schedule varies. Monthly membership ($429/mo) gives you unlimited visits for the month, making it better value if you're in the space regularly.

Can I try before committing to a monthly plan?

Yes. Start with a 5-pack ($225) and see the space for yourself. If you find yourself using it more than 5 days a month, monthly membership works out cheaper.

What's included with every desk?

Every desk includes a large monitor, commercial-grade WiFi, power outlets, ergonomic seating, air conditioning, and complimentary tea and coffee. Kitchen access and printing are available at select locations — just ask.

How many locations do you have?

We're launching with 29 desks across 4 locations: Belrose (6), Forestville (8), Gordon (6), and Mona Vale (9). We have capacity to expand to 61 desks as demand grows. Credits work at any location.

Can I use my credits at any location?

Yes. Your visit credits work at all four locations — just select the location you want when checking in from your dashboard.

How do I access the office?

Everything is self-serve. Sign up, verify your ID, and you're ready. When you check in on your dashboard, you'll receive a unique 6-digit door PIN valid from 5 AM to 3 PM that day. No staff needed, no keys to collect.

Do I need ID to sign up?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A valid government-issued photo ID (driver's licence or passport) is required when you create your account. It's a one-time verification step handled securely by Stripe Identity — we don't receive or store your ID documents.

Can I bring a guest?

Not at launch — each desk is for one person and access is tied to your individual account. We may introduce guest passes in the future once we have a better sense of capacity.

Can I reserve a specific desk?

Accepted Answer

Yes. From your dashboard you can reserve a desk at a specific location up to 30 days in advance. Reservations use one credit from your balance.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Casual credit packs are non-refundable but credits don't expire for 6 months. Monthly memberships can be cancelled anytime via your billing portal — the current billing period runs to completion and you won't be charged again.

Why is it cheaper than other coworking spaces?

Northern Beaches Coworking is run by Better Tuition Academy, which already operates the spaces for one-on-one tutoring. Because the desks, monitors, and infrastructure already exist, we don't carry the overhead that purpose-built coworking operators do — and we pass that saving on to you.

What are the house rules?

We ask all members to keep noise to a minimum — this is a focused work environment, not a social hub. Phone calls should be taken outside or kept brief and low-volume. Food is fine, but please keep your area clean. No guests without prior arrangement. Members are expected to treat the space and equipment with respect.

Is there a liability waiver?

Yes. All members are required to sign a liability waiver before their first check-in. This is completed digitally during onboarding. Northern Beaches Coworking is not liable for loss, damage, or injury on-site — members use the space at their own risk.

Can I take phone calls or video meetings at my desk?

Accepted Answer

Brief calls are fine at low volume. For longer meetings or video calls, please step outside or find a quiet area away from other members. We want to keep the environment productive for everyone.

What happens if I damage equipment or the space?

Accepted Answer

Members are responsible for any damage caused during their visit. This is outlined in the liability waiver signed at sign-up. Please report any accidental damage so it can be addressed promptly.

Is there CCTV at the locations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All locations have security cameras for the safety of members and the premises. Footage is stored securely and only accessed in the event of an incident.

Am I covered by insurance while using the space?

Accepted Answer

Members use the space at their own risk and are responsible for their own personal belongings and equipment. We strongly recommend members hold their own personal liability and contents insurance. Northern Beaches Coworking holds public liability insurance for the premises.
